Smooche began as a small studio with one mission: to redefine how the world sees cosmetics. Every order is packed by hand in Ypsilanti, Michigan.


1. Order Processing Time

We hand-prepare every order from our studio.

  • Processing time: 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday)

  • Order cut-off time: 3:00 PM Eastern Time (ET)

Orders placed after 3:00 PM ET, on weekends, or on US holidays will begin processing the next business day.

During launches, sales, or high-volume periods, processing may take 3–5 business days. We will notify you if delays occur.


2. Domestic Shipping (United States)

Free standard shipping on orders over $50 (after discounts, before tax).


3. Local Pickup (Ypsilanti, MI)

You can pick up your order directly from our studio to save shipping time and cost.

  • Pickup address: 13 N Washington St, Ypsilanti, MI 48197

  • Pickup hours: By email notification — we’ll confirm when your order is ready (typically 1–2 business days)

  • How it works: Select “Local Pickup” at checkout. Bring your order confirmation email and a photo ID.

We will hold your order for 7 days. After that, it will be refunded (minus a 10% restocking fee) or donated to a local charity.


4. International Shipping

We ship to select countries outside the US. International options are shown at checkout.

  • Estimated delivery: 7–20 business days (varies by customs)

  • Customs, duties & taxes: Not included in our prices. You are responsible for any fees, VAT, or import taxes imposed by your country.

  • Delays: Customs can hold packages without notice. We cannot control this.

We are not responsible for packages seized or delayed by customs.


5. Shipping Carriers

We primarily use:

  • USPS (First Class, Priority, Ground)

  • UPS (Ground, 2nd Day Air)

  • DHL (for some international orders)

You will receive a tracking number via email once your order ships. Tracking may take 24–48 hours to update.


6. Where We Ship (Currently)

We currently ship to:

  • All 50 US states (including PO boxes, APO/FPO)

  • Select international countries (see checkout for availability)

We do not currently ship to US territories (Guam, PR, etc.) or embargoed countries. If your location is not supported at checkout, we will cancel and refund your order within 1 business day.


7. Order Changes & Cancellations

  • Changes to shipping address: Contact us within 6 hours of placing your order at support@smooche.us

  • Cancellations: Available within 6 hours of ordering. After that, your order may already be in processing and cannot be canceled.

  • If already shipped: You may refuse delivery. Refund will be issued once the package returns to our studio (minus original shipping costs).


8. Lost, Stolen, or Delayed Packages

  • Lost by carrier: We will file a claim on your behalf. After the claim is approved, we will refund or replace your order.

  • Stolen after delivery: We are not responsible for packages stolen from your porch/mailbox. Please use a secure delivery address.

  • Delays: Weather, holidays, or carrier backlogs can delay delivery. We will help track but cannot guarantee specific delivery dates.


9. Incorrect or Incomplete Address

You are responsible for providing the correct shipping address.

If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address:

  • We will contact you to confirm the correct address

  • You will be charged for reshipment shipping costs

We will never unfairly refuse a refund for an address error, but refunds will be processed only after the package is returned to our studio.


10. Shipping to PO Boxes & APO/FPO

We ship to PO boxes via USPS only. APO/FPO addresses are welcome — delivery times are longer (10–20 business days) and tracking may be limited once the package transfers to military mail.


11. Holidays & Peak Seasons

During November–January and major sales events (e.g., Black Friday, Valentine’s Day), processing and shipping may take 5–7 business days longer than normal. We appreciate your patience — we’re a small studio packing every order by hand.
